As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

Take any valuation from Mac2Sell with a grain of salt. At one point a very reliable site for used Mac pricing, it's lost the plot the last few years. It way undervalues yours at US$330, it's definitely worth more.

Keep in mind you can get a base model 2011 Mac mini for 300 - 400 on Craigslist.

350 is really top of the mark for a 2009 mini. The thing with minis is that they devalue primarily because newer and better minis come out and are for sale at comparable prices. The older machine necessarily drops in value where newer and better tech would otherwise cost the same.

Complete nonsense. A quick look at eBay shows the OPs machine selling average $450-500.

I'd suggest you expect between $350 and $400 (U.S.$) and that depends on the condition of the machine and what else is included. Do a search of "MC239LL/A" on ebay and then click on "sold" auctions.

If you have the original box, include a mouse, keyboard, and have up-to-date software, you'll be in the higher end and possibly a bit over $400.

That's the beauty of auctions - every time a buyer gets a bargain, a seller is disappointed. Each sale can vary.

look at ebay vs craigslist for prices on all macs. They are very different.

Anyone paying 450-500 for a 2009 mini is an idiot. A new 2012 mini can be had for 550. An ordinary reasonably educated buyer isn't going to shell out close to the same price for a substantially worse machine.

I purchased my last 2009 mini for very little. I resold it at 350 (a huge profit). I purchased a base model 2011 for ~350. I've seen several 2011s for sale on craigslist in various areas of new york since the 2012 was released. those same 2011s are selling for 350-500, with the ones above 450ish only selling after being for sale for months and the ones for sale at are still at 500 despite being continuously for sale close to a year.
