    Hello Everyone,

I know it is possible to drive way more than 2 monitors with newer MBPs, but I have a 2009 MBP and was wondering if it's possible to drive 2 external monitors? I've seen varying reports on if this is possible with OSX Mountaion Lion and the older 2009 MBPs.

I did find a few videos around this, this fore example:

However, I saw some comments that it does not work for OSX Mountain Lion. So wanted to ask in the forums and see if anyone is using this (or a similar product) to drive 2 external monitors?

    Thanks in advance!

You can use a USB adapter, they are slow, fine for spreadsheets or terminal windows but nothing you would want to run image editing, videos, or things like that on.

Another thing you can do is get a Matrox DualHead2Go that will split the output into two monitors.

I got the j5 create USB 3 adapter. Doesn't rely on displaylink drivers and is working for me so far even with 1080 videos. I wasn't interested in splitting the image like the matrox requires.

Bumping this up, just ordered monitor #2.

Anything else besides the matrix dualhead2go device to do this?
