2009 mbp 17" won't turn on

This is my old trusty backup mbp ..suddenly it decided to stop starting up when I push the power button ..I get nothing ..no boot up sounds or lights or screens...

Did my poor 7 year old mbp just bit the apple dust ?

Does it do this when connected to the charger? Do you have access to a different charger to try with?

Yes it does..and nonod not have a backup magsafe 1...however the charger does light up ..solid green since battery is removed ..
