Hi, I am trying to find out where the internal antenna is for the Blue Tooth on my 2009 Mac Pro.

With the machine sat on the left of my monitor and me being right handed my Magic Mouse and Might Mouse before it show signs of poor signal.

I can only find photos of older machines and they had the antenna cables half hidden behind drive bay 2. There is nothing like that on my machine.

Any ideas where it is on the 2009 MP?

    Thanks

I believe I saw such a thing behind the CPU daughterboard on the logic board.

Well I found it but trying to get AT it is a nightmare.

It is at the back left lower corner of the case. How is the BT signal supposed to work when it has to pass over noisy CPUs and RAM modules then fight it's way through a "Faraday" cage.

No wonder it can't pick up the signal from the mouse.

Trying to get the case apart is like a Chinese puzzle.

    ARRRGHH!!!

I wonder if it would work with a BT dongle plugged in the front USB port.

EDIT The dongle(a 100m one) works like a charm. It must be 4 or 5 years old and it worked straight off with no driver installation. I can use the mouse from out in the front garden now (if I could see the screen)
