Will the 9.5mm 2.5 inch hard drives fit in a 2010 mini? Looking at a 1TB drive but noticed on OWC that they sell 7mm and 9.5mm drives. The 7mm only go up to 500GB but need a larger drive if possible. Don't want to use external. Tnks

Yes, it should work. When I opened up my 2012 mini there was a 1TB 9.5 MM drive as standard equipment. One way to double check is to open up your mini and check the size of the current drive. 7MM drives are useful for really slim laptop installations. I think they started making 12.5MM drives, which may not fit.

Thanks for the replies. Anyone know if snow leopard has trim? Might consider a 512gb ssd to help speed it up.
OSX only enables TRIM by default for OEM SSD's. If you do install an SSD, use this http://www.groths.org/?page_id=322 to enable TRIM on your machine. If you are willing to spend the money, I'd go for the SSD. The speed differences are amazing.
