2010 Macbook air 11" slow on high sierra

My macbook air 2010 is crazy slow on high sierra.

What is the easiest way not downgrade to El captain.

I can erase the hard drive don't have any personal files I need to save.

Please help.

Further i have never used time machine and don't need any files form the computer.

1. Can i easily install to the original OS that was on the computer?
2. How do i install el caption without time machine?

Internet Recovery Version​

If your Mac supports Internet Recovery, you can use this guide to find out which version of macOS you will get using the following options.

• Newest OS – Option-⌘-R

This option will be the newest or latest version of macOS that can be installed on your Mac.

• Shipping OS (Oldest OS Available) – Shift-Option-⌘-R

The “Shipping OS Version” is the macOS version that your Mac originally shipped with from the factory. This is the IR Version that you will see if you use Shift-Option-⌘-R.

Try Mojave, or catalina the patch and install is easy and the OS X is fast on a 4GB MacBook Air.
I'm running both on my MacBook Air 2010
high Sierra made me do one thing
buy a Dell XPS 13'
