Hi,
I am getting rather annoyed with my current battery life. I have a 2010 15'' mbp. Cycle count is at 180 and my max battery life is 2 30 mins tops. Usually drops a lot faster. I keep my display at 65% light and backlit keyboard around 30%.

I have calibrated the battery according to apples site.
I am at the point to just go buy a new battery.

omg thank you so much for your input very useful....

next time contribute to the question at hand or just pass on posting?
is it really that hard????

Your original post contains zero questions that I can see. You seem to have solved your own problem- go buy a new battery. Why did you even start the thread other than to whine?

Then go buy a new one.

What other answer are you looking for? A magical solution that puts hours back on your battery? Seriously..go buy a new one.

Are you forcing the Integrated graphics chip using gfxCardStatus?

If not, your discrete GT 330m is probably chewing your battery to pieces.

To be fair he was suggesting probably one of the better solutions...at least try to accept the comments without immediately castigating posters!

Seriously though, I'm not surprised your battery isn't performing that well anymore. Before I bought my 2011 MBP, my Thinkpad battery after one year had less than half of the battery life it had when new. Use is going to make it tired.

Shell out the money to have your battery replaced. If you use it a lot on the go while not plugged in, you'll get the utility out of the money you will spend.
