2011 13" MBP no SB...

    Anyone have ideas on when the 13" might get Sandy Bridge, or will they not? Shocked it didn't come out when the new MBP's did.

    What do you mean?? They DO have Sandy Bridge (aka. 2nd gen. core i processors)

    On the Apple site they are showing only 1st gen chips.

    There is no direct mention on Apple's MBP page whether the core i processors are 1st or 2nd gene. However, you can clearly see Intel HD Graphics 3000 which means that they belong to the 2nd gen i core chips.

    Also, here Apple indicates that these laptops have the new chips.

    Ah ha. Thanks was thinking they would be quad-core (would be nice).

    Wow, someone needs to lighten up. The OP was referring to the 13's solely. Cut some slack, someone needs to stay on topic.
