I will be buying a new machine to replace my 2008/9 15" 2.53Ghz. I am not a "gamer" but run large virtual machines, occasional video editing, and I am wondering if I would notice much difference. I was thinking virtual machines etc. really would not use the graphics processor and the difference in CPU speed may not be that much.

In my situation, what does everyone think? After all the $300 difference is half the cost of an iPad 2 :)

You will be better off with spending the saved cash on more RAM and an SSD.
