2011 Airs and Remote Wakeup??

Hello. I just switched out an 2008 Pro for a 2011 Air, and the only problem I'm having is that I cannot use the remote with the Air... I use my computer hooked up to my tv, and used the remote only to wake up my computer with the lid shut (Clamshell mode i think its called).

So what is another way to wake up the air with the lid closed? hopefully without having to buy something else 🙂

Since the MacBook Air doesn't have IR, you have to use something USB to wake it when it is in clamshell mode, like a mouse or keyboard.

What about something bluetooth? I have a wireless keyboard....

That should work. Wakes mine in clamshell mode. You have to enable it, SystemSettings->Bluetooth->Advanced and check "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer"
