What are the differences in 2011 minis?
Do all have capability of 2nd hard drive?
It's not until 2012 that things changed depending on what original drive was ordered, correct?

Yes it can, check here for 2011 mac mini specs.

2011 does not have usb 3.0. uses a different processor and gpu (Intel HD3000 or AMD Radeon HD6630m).

Both can be upgraded to 2 drives with the dual hdd kit.
