I recently replaced the logic board on my 2011 imac for a logic board I found on ebay. The board I received is firmware locked.

I am wondering if I can either swap the chip with the one on my dead board or reprogram it using a ch341a programmer easily?

I have a local shop that will do the chip swap for $20 to $30. I have no idea though if the efi chip is also fried.

Answering my own question, a simple reprogram using a ch341a to copy the firmware from my bad board to the ebay board worked.
