    iMac specs: 3.4Ghz i7, 2GB VRAM, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD+256GB SSD

I noticed my HDD fan rpm's were idling around 1174-1179 and when using aton of apps (PS5, DW5, iTunes, mail safari, steam, firefox, open at once) it loaded up around 1188-1195. then would go back down.

Now even after leaving the machine off for a day to let it cool and maybe reconfigure its temps, it idles around 1199-1215 which never reached those temps, system is hot at all and nothing is running.

I tried a FAN Reset by plugging the power in while pressing the power button but it didnt seem to help.

Is the 1210RPM+ normal? as it seems to now idle at that spot and only going up more....occasionally i see it drop down to 1189 for a few moments then back up to 1208~

Other Fans are normal and when compared to other similar imacs theyre the same.

    any suggestions?

Fan speeds between 900 to 1,300 at idle is normal. Fan speeds above 3,000 RPMs are getting fast. RPMs above 4,000 is getting really fast... If wondering, my iMac fan speeds between 1,000-1,200 and I can barely hear them.
