Honestly if Lincoln wants to survive they need to step it up having the same interior as a Ford is ridiculous.

This is suposed to be Lincoln not Ford!

The Ford's looks far classier, IMHO...

Lincoln's line-up is completely stodgy, gaudy, and unattractive; they're becoming what Cadillac used to be...

I sat in a 2011 MKX yesterday at an auto show. The interior design wise may not appeal to me, but the materials used are pretty good and the gadgets are pretty nifty. MyLincolnTouch is pretty cool, but they need to work on it as it is a bit laggy in response. The volume and fan control are my favorite thing in my quick tour in the interior. When you touch them with your finger, a light turns on and follows your finger when you are adjusting the volume or fan.

While Cadillac's interiors design wise are far more appealing in design, Lincoln has the edge when it comes to cool nifty little gadgets which for me at least isn't enough to sell me on the MKX.

Anytime I'm in Vegas, I'm given an MKS to drive. The materials are surprisingly good. That's one thing I'm constantly harping on with regard to American manufacturers, and it appears that Lincoln (at least in the case of the MKS) has it figured out.

It's an improvement over what they used to do. But it doesn't look competitive in the luxury car class. I agree with the poster that said the Ford interior looks better.

Like many manufacturers, there's a lot of plastic disguised to look like leather.

Ford owns Lincoln. They share the same chassis, engines, etc. The interiors have to be somewhat similar by design. So, while you can criticize it for lack of taste/luxury, saying it looks like a Ford is like criticizing a boy for looking like his father.

This is turning into something scarily similar to that Nissan Cube thread...if that even makes sense...!

That interior is rather ugly! I have not known Lincolns to have pretty interiors though, I do like the Town Car.

This is a car interior to be proud of;

You feel like you are piloting an aircraft in this thing.

I'm sorry but the MKX's exterior styling is just plain UGLY. Yes the interior has some very nice features, BUT the Sync system is a dog (Slow response) and the styling still leaves something to be desired. I just compared about every midsize SUV on the market before deciding to go with the Cadillac SRX.

The styling, comfort, features, materials etc... were ALL miles above what others were offering.

I have had the car for about a month and a half now, and could not be happier, i love this car.

It is a very smooth quite drive, handles VERY well, honestly couldn't be happier.

The above is the interior of my moms LTZ Equinox. Very similar. Like the picture of the Tahoe and the Escalade above, they build on the same frameworks.
