My M1 Macbook Pro has died with the usual screen problems, and is going back to Apple for repair. Is there any way I can use a Mac Mini 2011 with the Caldigit T3 hub that the M1 laptop is normally connected to? It would be great if I could just swap out the laptop for a few weeks while waiting for the repair. The mini has a thunderbolt port on it, but not sure if it is compatible with a T3 hub.

If it was going to work, the only way I could think of is Apple's bi-directional adapter:

It isn't cheap, and only Apple makes it, so no cheap 3rd party option.
