2011 macbook pro 17'' and two external non-apple displays?

Hi,

Im looking at possibilities to finish building my workspace.
Since apple displays are too expensive for me (2 displays will costs me the same price as 17 macbook vs 2 non-apple displays will costs 1/2 price of 17 macbook) Im looking for any other option.

I know I can connect 1st monitor via minidisplay (thunderbolt) port and buy an external graphic card on usb for second monitor.. but this is not exactly the best solution.

I don't know what else. Maybe some kind of thunderbolt cable with outputs into 2 dvi?

There's any other way then installing external graphic card for second monitor?
