Hello All
I don't know if this is the right place to do it or not but here goes:
I am a proud owner of a 2011 MBP and am absolutely in love with the latest from Cupertino. I had previously compiled a bunch of reviews from the experts on my blog at http://bit.ly/fp35F7 , before mine got delivered.

This time, I wanted to write my own review and thought I should get feedback from other members of this community as well:

If you would like to share a well-written review of your 2011 MacBook Pro - 13/15/17 in at least 100 words and 1 image, then I am your man.

I want to compile all of the submissions I collect here into one big blog post, which each of the reviewers can also publish on their blog. I think it would be interesting to see this all in one post.

What say folks?

Macbook Pro 2011 4GB RAM 2.2Ghz Hi-Res Glossy
Pros:
- Fast
- Clean
- Good looking
- Just does the job
- OSX
- Brilliant Battery Life
Cons:
- Not for gaming
- Expensive Up-front

The Macbook Pro 2011 is one good piece of tech. With the chassis of a goddesses and the power of horse, this beautiful piece of machinery really lives up to expectations. Upon startup you are greeted with the traditional Mac-OSX "Welcome" in many different languages, something which really makes you feel proud! Initial setup is minimal with the only real requirement a internet connection, from there all apps install quickly and your Macbook Pro can easily be ready in minutes. Overtime OSX really shows you its magic, one can never really get over how easy everything is and with the added bonus of not needing Anti-Virus, the Macbook Pro gets one step closer to ideal. Startup times are impressive with low end models starting up in roughly half a minute, the machine from startup just keeps going with its huge battery life. Gaming on high end Macbook Pros is a breeze, however hardcore gamers look elsewhere, this is not the machine for you. Overall the Macbook Pro is a excellent buy and will really leave you with a taste of what the "Mac" brand is, the machines only real downfall being its high upfront cost.

This is awesome! Thank you Macsavvytech! Do you want to attach a photo of your rig as well?

Ok, my rig is pretty basic at the moment (waiting on my new kit!), but of course it is only a review for the Macbook Pro so that is all good. Taking picture ;)

Ok here is my rig: it includes the MBP, my firewire/usb harddrive, some chewing gum for intense coding, mosquito repellent (living in Australian tropics), screen cleaning cloths, mouse etc and my awesome trash can!

If you still need more, I can put one together and send it to you later today...

My machine: Late 2011 13" 2.8GHz Dual Core Intel i7 4GB

What I love:
-Its a Mac
-OSX
-Ease of use
-Design and materials
-OPTICAL DRIVE!!
-Trackpad

What I don't love:
-Pricey upfront
-Glossy Screen
-Low Speaker output

All in all I am very happy with my purchase. What I really love is how easy it is to connect everything with my MBP. I think the hands down best feature is AirDrop it has made my life so easy just dragging and dropping files between my iMac and MacBook Air. Overall this is a very solid computer and I love the choice of materials. It feels good in your hands and not chintzy like the old Whitebooks did. For the money I really feel like the design and materials are top notch. I also like the backlight keyboard it comes in really handy in low light situations. And of course I love all of the top rate video, photo, and audio editing programs there are. Everything is so streamlined between them that you get the feeling thats what this computers sole purpose is. However as others have said this is not a machine for hard core gamers. However it works great for the occasional game of Angry Birds. I really can't think of anything bad about my MBP except that it is expensive up front. But once you see that first screen welcoming you to the wonderful world of Mac its all worth it. Also can't forget that you can upgrade these with relative ease for even better performance. While some remove their optical drive for an SSD I love mine, it writes and reads DVDs and CDs lightning fast and is one of the best I have ever used, a real must have for anyone who does AV work. The bluetooth connectivity is also awesome I love connecting to my iPhone to tether this on my unlimited data and shove it to ATT! (Had to add that sorry) The camera for its size is very impressive and makes Skype a great experience I use it every chance I get with my brother serving in Afghanistan. The battery is excellent and runs circles around my 2011 Vaio that this replaced. While I wish the screen wasn't glossy I have learned to live with it and the display is truly excellent, any image you view is crisp and crystal clear. However the speakers do leave a little to be desired as they just aren't that loud, but thats a tiny tradeoff for such an awesome machine. I like how easy it is to connect to an external display and work off that, there are so many different ways to do it, it makes it so simple. Sadly I am not a power user so most of these awesome features I just play with. I purchased this to get me threw the final 2 years of medical school. However if I did not purchase this MBP I would have missed out on what great computers Macs really are, the purchase led me to buy my iMac and MacBook Air all with in 3 months, thats the only true downside once you go Mac your hooked its like heroin. (But man is the high you get from this machine good!) Almost forgot to add one of the most used features, the trackpad! I love the multi touch gestures that this thing is capable of it beings a whole new level to notebook trackpads. This thing is awesome it can do sooo many things with the flick of a few fingers it is what truly ties the experience together it unites every other awesome feature and is the bow on the gift wrap! To sum it up, what I love most is just its simplicity. Everything just works, apps, programs, just everything. Everything connects, my iPad, iPhone, iPods, iMac, Apple TV and MacBook Air just all come together seamlessly and flawlessly its perfect. I could not be more impressed or happy with my baby!
