2011 MBP - Is there a SD card cover

Just got my early 2011 MBP Refurb, and just wondered do they come with a cover for the SD card slot normally? Either a fake insert card of a flip down slot protector like on the old expresscard slots, or are they always open?

Don't have a store nearby that I can check.

The 17" comes with an even bigger uncovered gap. I bought a 21 in 1 Express card reader to fit in there.
