The Apple product launch event this morning lacked any type of update to the MBP. I was kind of hoping that there would be an update due to the MBP being long overdue. Don't get me wrong, the current model is still a great computer, but I wonder how long it will be before they hold another event for the MBP update.

They don't need to hold an event to update their MBP line.
And the event this morning was not by Apple but by Verizon.

Anyway, an update to the MBP line is expected in the first two quarters of 2011, but maybe one of the many already existing and active threads about the very same issue can shed more rumours on it.

The iPhone going to Verizon needs more publicity that the MBP. There will always be many, many laptops users who will only buy the MBP, myself included. Also, the MBP's ability seems to spread without major publicity.

I feel the same way, I would only buy the Macbook Pro or Air now. I could just buy another notebook, but, it's just not the same.
