Hello all,

I recently upgraded my 2011 MBP to 8GB of RAM (PNY brand). The RAM itself is pretty nice and all, but I have recently noticed that my MBP will not go into sleep mode when the power adapter is plugged in. I have checked all of my energy saver settings, but that didn't work. I also tried putting the computer to sleep manually. Doing that shut the screen off and everything, but the sleep indicator light never started slowly blinking, which to me means that the computer isn't sleeping. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue?

Thanks

Have you checked the logs in Console to see if anything was stopping your system from sleeping?

I couldn't find anything on console. However, I closed the lid on my laptop, unplugged it and let it go to sleep. Once it went to sleep, I plugged it back in and it stayed asleep. Is there anything specific I should be looking for in the console?
