My wifi status now says No Hardware Installed.

Tried a restart and a SMC reset but nothing changed. Anything else I should try before taking it into apple?

Thanks

Ugh that stinks. After a PRAM/SMC, you could try an OS reinstall, but it sounds like the hardware borked itself.

Run Apple Hardware Test (Hold D key at start up) and see if it detects any problems.

It still could be a .kext problems, OS related.

Didnt open it. Hardware test showed no problems.

I guess I will have to take it into apple.

Since you have nothing to lose, try this before you take it in:

Open up system prefs> Network, and delete the current wifi profile.

Try wifi again, and see if you get a new connection with today's date on it. If that works, your wifi hardware is still good. A re-boot of your router / modem might also help, although I suspect you've tried that.

What Macman45 said but if you want to reset all network settings delete the following folder:(or copy to desktop and delete original)

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Then restart, all your network is reset now.

If the file is invisible hit Command-Shift-G and paste this into it /Library/Preferences/
Then do as above and restart.
