I will hold out. You should never buy a rev1 Apple product.

Yes, yes, one thousand times YES!

It's refreshing to hear the voice of experience & reason. I've been saying this for ages.

Yet in this age of iToyz customers who have no patience or impulse control, waiting for a well sorted out product is widely ignored.

I bought my 13" MBA (8GB/256GB) in July fully expecting a 13" retina before Xmas. I'll seriously look at the second/third gen 13" retina for my next notebook.

The whole "revision A" thingie is quite dumb... so none of you got the iPhone 4? Everyone has iPhone 4S? Or are you all waiting for a second revision on the 4S maybe first? In order for a second revision to exist, Apple first needs to make money and see that investing in a second version is worth it...

I've avoided the 3G and waited for the 3GS, also skipped the 4 in favour of the 4S. As for Apple not selling enough version ones, don't worry, there are always enough chumps to jump on version one on the first day of release. I'll let them be the paying beta testers.

Me too. I think it's a lesson you can only learn by direct experience.

This.

That being said, a 2012 Air would be easy to sell at a good price. IF a retina 13" comes sometime soon I'll check it out and then decide. I gotta say though that I had a 2010 13" MBP and now that I have the Air that machine seemed extremely heavy to me.

I plan on picking up a 2012 iMac when they are released. I also purchased a 2012 MBA BTO but am looking to sell it when the new iMacs are released. Based on the specs (see sig), how much do you think I could sell it for? I paid about $1900 for it. I think a starting bid of $1100 on eBay makes sense or is that too little? It's still in mint condition.

The 15" rMBP is limited by a 1GB dGPU. If the 13" rMBP has a 2GB dGPU I may bite, otherwise wait for Haswell.
