Hoping someone can answer an issue thats really bugging me 🤯
I have a 2012 Mac mini i7/16GB/1TB SSD hooked up to a Samsung U32R590 32" Curved UHD 4K Monitor via Thunderbolt port out on the Mac mini to the display port in on the Samsung, running at 2560x1440/60Hz (NTSC not PAL)
Picture quality is very good but I'm getting like a horizontal rolling effect from bottom to top, more so when watching video ? Anyone any clues how to resolve it ???
Any help would be much appreciated ... 🤔 👍

PS
I'm also running SwitchResX
Don’t know if it's because I'm running NTSC and not PAL only because there's no option of running in PAL ??

Update .. may have sorted it !
Uninstalled SwitchResX and now running at 2560x1440/60Hz via the Mac settings
Rolling effect has stopped but I don't know how to check as to if I'm running in NTSC or PAL ?
Update ... rolling hasn't stopped 😞

NTSC and PAL are line based TV color systems from anno dazumal… they are not applicable for pixel based digital monitors, which typically use sRGB or some wider gamut like Adobe RBG.

Whatever monitor you are using will automatically use a suitable setting for its system.

Thanks for the heads up re NTSC and PAL ;) 👍
Any idea why I'm getting this horizontal rolling effect from bottom to top ??

Probably because you used an unsupported resolution with SwitchResX.

MM 2012 can drive 2560x1600 @ 60Hz, so it should all be fine. Under normal circumstances, flicker means the monitor is damaged or cabling is inadequate. You should have none of those problems with a newer monitor and mDP/TP.

The monitor is brand new, but I did try several cables before I settled on the current one, it's a minefield with these cables.
Maybe have to keep on searching for the perfect cable ?
Have attached a screen grab to try and show the rolling effect I said about
