I did a fresh install on my 2012 Mini because Ubuntu 24.04.4 became more and more unstable with time to the point it would no longer boot and I received the message to reinstall.

However now, my WiFi receiver is no longer detected. It shows a BCM4331 in the driver updater app but when I pulled the list via the Terminal it shows something differently. If I try and install the additional WiFi driver, it defaults to Do Not Use. If I try and install the driver, I get an error.

I had a similar problem with an Acer Aspire laptop where the sound from the speakers would not work until Canonical dropped an updated Kernel. At that point, the speakers now work. So I suspect a Kernel issue here as well but I am looking to see if someone has a fix for the problem.

Currently I am using a Wired connection.

This is why my go to Linux distro is Ubuntu. I finally found a solution in the Ubuntu forums that someone had a experienced a year ago. I followed the Terminal commands, rebooted and viola, my WiFi is now working. A couple of years ago I also found a way to manually change the fan speed in my 2012 Mini, cause it would get too hot.
