I still am getting blown away with how well the new MBA handles anything you throw at it, screenshot below shows a Fusion4 Win7 setup compiling a rather complex .NET/C++ setup (119 projects including mixed and native code), I started comparing build times across different Memory/Core setup for Fusion, some brief results for comparison:

VM 2cores/3072GB RAM: msbuild takes 2:23min
VM 4cores/4096GB RAM: msbuild takes 2:00min

to compare, my main dev box is a 8core Xeon with 24GB + SAS Drives in RAID, same project compiles in 0:48min - I say the MBA does really well, especially considering it's a sub 3lbs setup


... and the 1080p youtube video was just to see how hot the mac can get 🙂

Nice! I've really been liking the perf of VS2010 in Win7 64 on Parallels with 2 cores/3 GB. This is a beastly little 3 pound machine.
 
Oh, thank you so much for posting this! Now I'm much more comfortable going for the i5 over the i7...
