Hi

My 2012 13" MBA has developed a few issues over the last few months. It's covered under extended AppleCare

Trackpad clicking has become erratic and non-responsive
Developed bad light bleed on right side of LCD, 1cm line up whole screen.
Right side of LCD intermittently flickers like interlace or slow refresh rate.
Sometimes machine won't wake from sleep requiring power cycle.

I've reinstalled OS, reset PRAM and SMC several times. Not solved issue.

This machine has previously had the top clamshell replaced due to another screen issue.

In your view/experience, do you think Apple will repair the machine, or just replace it?

Thanks.

It can't hurt to ask, just state your case politely (getting angry/rude never works) and maybe they'll see your repair history and agree.

I say they will repair, the trackpad has a setscrew that sets the travel. that will take them a few minutes to fix. The screen will be a subjective decision.

Subjective as in replacing the screen, or as in replacing the device?

I would say screen, this is an on the spot call by the tech you deal with in most cases. Without personally seeing it first hand its difficult to come up with any other conclusion.
