Apple replaced my LG screen with a Samsung last November due to ghosting.

Now the Sammy has developed a bright spot right in the middle of the screen.

Any chance Apple will cover this under warranty? (The machine itself is past the 12 month original warranty, but the screen is only 10 months old)

unfortunately if your not on apple care they would not. However it does not hurt to try your luck. They make exceptions at times to keep their customers happy.

Yes. You can argue that a product this expensive shouldn't need screen replacement twice in 1 year. If you are paying over 1k for something it should last at least 4 years with normal usage. If the store refuse, take it higher. It's not fair for you to be sold a subpar product only to have it repaired and another problem arise.

When complaining make sure to stress that it's putting you off apple products; they might throw in something to keep you sweet.
