Hi all,

I have a i7 mid 2012 RMBP which still works fine for me so have no need to upgrade, even though i think i will this years as ive noticed the fans kicking in alot recently.

I have here a 40" 4K monitor which ideally id like to run at its native resolution. Is this possible with my current MBP? using some sort of dongle achieve this?

Ive seen the DELL docks at reasonable prices like the WD15 and the TB15 which use USBc. Can i use a thunderbolt to USBc adapter or even a USB 3 to to USBc adapter to achieve what i want?

Many thanks

Use the HDMI port. It will only work at 30hz, though

Ah thank you. I didn't realize it was possible without some sort of dongle .etc

So 30hz. I mainly use my Mac for Browing the web these days and not much more. Is 30hz fine for this?

Thanks
