there are are bunch of refurbished MacBook airs for $400, how are these? I'd use it for normal online viewing etc....seems extremely cheap but unsure of the actual value.

Check out which year they are from, apart from the obvious specs.....that will tell you a story...

The thread title says 2013. 😉 When we talk about "refurbished" here, it is usually in the context of computers that Apple has refurbished and brought up to the original specs. They also include the same one year warranty as a new computer. I don't think you will find those for $400.

So I guess it depends on what "refurbished" means and who is selling it.

I don't scour eBay for bargains, and wouldn't be interested. I don't know what "factory refurbished" means, Apple sold this refurb model for much more. Seems too cheap to me.

The battery could possibly be near death. The specs shown in the description are for a new unit, which in itself has to be a false claim.

hi There . A bunch of them.. you can wait to buy new since you doubt that theyre any good . I mean theyre sold cheaply at fourhundred..
