I currently have 27-inch iMac with 15-inch rMBP setup. I somehow got hold of 13-inch MBA for brief while(1.5 months). But I ended up selling my MBA because

1. having 3 machines are just overkill for me especially when I only actively use 2 machines.
2. needed some cash.
3. I didn't mind the size of the screen, but the resolution was just too low for me. Coming from 27-inch iMac and 15-inch rMBP with the setting of making it look like it's 1950*1050(ish? i'm not 100% sure if that's the right number).

Though I seriously miss the light weight of MBA as I already have crapload of stuff in my backpack everyday. It's bearable with my rMBP, but it sure was lot nicer with MBA with it's light weight.

1400*900 is the right resolution number for MBA 13"

Nope, I was talking about the rMBP's scaled "looks like" resolution, not MBA's resolution. It clearly says that "15-inch rMBP with the setting of making it look like it's 1950*1050(which turned out to be "looks like 1680x1050 on rMBP")". Please read again.
