So I'm thinking of getting the base level mac pro, was wondering how many dell u2715h monitors I can have hooked up to it.

Pay attention that via HDMI (standart HDMI + miniDP-HDMI-adapter) you can plug in only 2 monitors max. Otherwise you should use special miniDP-DVI active adapter (with additional USB-power cable).

Just to add, with every new DELL u2715h you get one Mini-DP to DP cable. So no need for any adapters, unless you used all your Thunderbolt ports (Mini DisplayPorts) for something else.

thanks for the responses. so the u2715 is not a 4k or 5k monitor? since i read on the forums that the new mac pro can only handle 1 5k monitor and 2 4k monitors?

So realistically I can hook up 6 u2715s to the mac pro running at 60hz without any issues?

Sorry to piggy back on this one but I think it's relatable.

Does anyone know if you can daisy chain with the U2715H and mac pro? So thunderbolt out to display 1 in mini-display port, monitor 1 out of display port to monitor 2 display port in. Make sense? thanks for any info. Just looking to free up thunderbolt ports for other i/o needs.
