I am looking to upgrade my 2013 27" iMac 3.4ghz i5 w/ 2GB GTX 775M to something slightly more powerful for video editing with final cut pro X for my youtube channel. I have been wanting the freedom to choose a larger monitor as well. The new 2019 MP is overkill for me and way out of my price range. Now with the release of the new model, I was thinking about picking up a trash can model and adding my own monitor. Would it be a worthwhile upgrade from my 2013 iMac? Or would it be better to consider the latest Mac Mini and add a eGPU? Thanks for any advice!
