2013 MacBook Pro (software update)

Hello,

I have an old (2013) MacBook Pro that I have just wiped and only have a few apps downloaded... I am getting a message to update to Mac Mojave but the update is larger than the space I have available.

I was just wondering if anybody knew what the latest IOS version would be best for my older MacBook... Is it even possible to update with only 500GB?

What do you mean, you have 465 GB available disk space? The updater should be no more than 10 GB.
