Sold my 2013 MBA 11in to get something with a bit more bigger. Can't afford much so been hitting craigslist. Originally wanted a 13in air as I liked the size. But then I found a 2015 MBP 13in and it's just a bit thicker. Here are 2 I'm looking at.
2013 MBA 13in i7 8gb 512ssd $650, ~300 cycles on battery.
2015 MBP retina 13in i5 8gb 128ssd $650, needs new battery though.

Won't travel with it much and if I do it's in a car with a short walk to the office so size wise I'm good either way. Battery replacement should be a major deal and they seem decent in price? Only thing bothering me is the 128gb SSD.

The battery on the 2015 should be under warranty.

Nobody knows how much storage u need and what CPU when u don't describe usage...

Buy a 12"MB ;)

Eh, the MBP is not such a hot deal once you factor in the cost of a new battery. I think that Air is a decent price for what it is as long as it passes inspection and is in good condition. Instead of buying that Pro and then paying for a new battery, you could just up your budget to $800 and then find something else.

Edit: Unless, assuming, you can get something done with the battery via warranty but I wouldn't want to mess with that. Make the seller do that kind of legwork IMO

Well I picked up an early 2015 rMBP 13" i5 2.8 8gb ram and a 256ssd for $660. Battery cycle is at 239 and is in perfect condition. Also tempted by a late 2013 i5 2.8 16gb 512ssd for $800 but dude didn't want to go through the setup to see battery count.
