I LOVE Day One, using it, well....daily :) It's brilliantly designed and leaves enough space to let me do just what I like to do: writing a small notice on daily basis.

Totally agree. It revolutionized my journaling habit and made me nearly prolific in my writing. There's apps and then there's apps like Day one that actually change your life. Well deserved honour.

Storehouse looks very nice indeed. Could be just what I want to create some visual stories & put them on a website.

Problem is I don't have an iPad. Is there anything similar for OSX?

Theres nothing wrong with any of this, especially when you look at who the vast consumer base is, its in their best interest to support entertainment consumpution first and foremost as this is what most folk use their mobile devices for. Envelope pushing agree with you when it comes to creative controllers. I've had Beatmaker 2 for many months now and the program simply blows me away, I mean you can't get any closer to having a virtual MPC than this.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But whole that "post pc" stigma is so far off reality, mobile OSes are still far away from desktops.

True I very much agree. For myself at this time I don't need os to replace my PC, it's not that serious. I'm totally comfy with my two devices however if and when it's combined and done 'right' I'll welcome the convenience with open arms.

Some people complain about the lack of being able to put multiple pictures in it or video but I think that's just part of the concept, you can add multiple video's or pictures and lot's of text using Facebook of other platforms but Day One keeps it simple and simplistic and....private.

Yeah, I like this app also. If they would just add the ability to attach a multi page PDF I will be in heaven. :)

Great choices, I've showed several of them off to people when showing what an iPad can do. I highly recommend Device 6 and that developer's other game Year Walk. They're making beautiful games that take advantage of the tablet format to make unique experiences.

hahaha yes :) You're so right here, that would be one great future indeed. But they, the makers, are not done yet, I'm sure in that they would come up with something like you're mentioning here. With this award they will probably sell even better so I hope this piece of software is here to stay. :apple:
