Probably means an end to the 2012s. The Haswells may be the last Intel Mini.

I was hoping for a Skylake at some point but my optimism is fading. The walled garden is starting to feel claustrophobic.

Thye're sold out for now. Keep checking, they'll be back. You could also try RefurbMe to notify you when they come in stock. I've never used it, but I've heard that others have had success with it.

I plan to get one myself in a few months (a refurb, that is). The entry level one will do fine for my purposes.

That's not correct. You need to use RefurbMe or Refub Tracker to get notifications when the 2012 refurbs hit the store. They sell out quickly.
