Ran numerous Diagnostic tests on my new macbook pro, each time has given me this error code...

The battery may not be charging correctly
Reference code: PPP003

I have reset the VRam and reset the SMC as apple advised, problem still persists.

Any one else had this issue ? Know what the problem is?

My nearest apple store is quite a trek away and i don't drive. Really don't wanna go through the hassle and taking it there for the chance the genius employees tell me there is nothing wrong with it (happened before).

Any help is welcome thanks.

Here is what Apple says to do with that code. If that doesn't work, a trip to Apple is your only other option I see.

I have that problem as well.

I have noticed that this error code seems to be only effecting the majority of 2014 machines on Yosemite. Same with me when my battery is fully charged the machine comes up with no errors, if you plan on going to the apple store can you let me know what they say? I might just take mine anyway for a advanced diagnostics as its new when i can. If i go before you will update the thread.

Please see this link:

Somebody return the product, and get a new one. Same problem.
So i think, i will not bring mine to apple store. How about you?

I am not guna bother taking it at the end of the day it charges fine so , If i am ever in the apple store area i will take it in but I won't bother going out my way. I know what will happen, ''no problem here'', maybe wait and see if apple updates the firmware. As long as its not a error code with my memory, ssd etc then i won't bother.
