2014 NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge

lost two more today so far in my unofficial ride-along bracket (duke and new mexico), for 15-20 total.
tennesse is looking good over umass, so that should be ok, hope they ride it all the way to the elite8, so it will balance the duke loss (i doubt many people have Tenn going far).
Creighton is struggling more than it should with lafayette.
my only other upsets (sort of) today ares OK S over Gonzaga and G Wash over memphis

I haven't been watching as much tonight - less interesting games (to me), but good results. Probably going to tune into that UK/KSU game.
 
That wasn't a foul but that kid should've been in a different zip code for that shot.

Wow. The 5-12. Feel bad for the kid that committed the foul then missed the 3 for VCU. Gonna be a tough night for him.

In first place! Just thought I'd enjoy this fleeting moment. The losses I had yesterday cut deep. Rooting for Pitt even though I have Fla in the Four. So many have Fla winning.

Dayton keeps ruining brackets, though not too shocking Syracuse lost here (admittedly was expecting OSU to do it in some brackets, but meh).

UConn probably ruined more brackets than they should've (meaning Nova was a joke as a #2 seed).

MSU almost blew a huge lead to Harvard.

Oregon/Wisconsin seemed like a hell of a game, but I was at bar trivia and it was one of many games on (without sound).

SDSU steamrolled my Sweet 16 Cinderella, North Dakota State.

Michigan shot lights out against Texas, yet still let them come close in the second half.

SLU/Louisville was an ugly, beautiful dog fight until ~8 mins left when UL pulled away.

Florida/Pitt was just ugly in my mind, but Wilbekin sure is clutch.

I think that's about it for the day.
 
If people were shocked by Villanova they are not paying attention. they were a number 1 seed in the Big East tournament and got blown out in the first game. They did not deserve a 2 seed. UConn is playing a lot better than a 7 seed. Plus they are going back to MSG a place where they play very well.
 
I had 2 brackets in my money pool: a Wichita State champion and another bracket. The WS is obviously trashed.

The other is doing quite well. Kansas losing hurt me a little, but they hurt others (Final Four or beyond) than me having Florida win that region and end up in the Finals. Also, in my non-WS bracket, I had Louisville beating WS anyway, so I just lose points for the win vs. UK.

How exciting was that game, though? Back and forth til the end. The announcers said the last play was a fair/good play by WS, but it was awful in my opinion. Van Vleet hadn't done anything all day offensively - go to the hot hand instead. I don't mind as much them going for the win over the higher % play to tie, but Van Vleet was the last guy who should take that three. I don't care if he's a senior or shoots 44% - he didn't today.
 
I guess Stanford will have to dig up their white home uniforms one more time this season after all.
 
One bust with Iowa state that I will gladly eat. Watch out for UConn, they are on a roll.
 
MSU played terribly last night and still won. UConn is on quite a roll, but I think they're an easier match up than UVA.

Michigan just had to make things interesting last night after blowing out Tennessee for most of the game.

Dayton hung tough for the first half, but it looks like UF is ending that Cinderella run.
 
Crazy. Madness, really. So many good games. So many teams had chances. Couple of bounces here or there and the entire FF could be different. These teams have definitely earned their spot, though. Gutsy kids. One Shining Moment will be off the chain!
