The current Macbook Pro's and Mac Pro can't drive a 5k display because they lack displayport 1.3 and an updated timing controller for 5k - Right?

So next year, when they release an external Cinema display - all current Mac* Pro users will have to upgrade their machines in order to use 5k - Right?

Apple External Displays

So one limitation of the 5k iMac (and all current Mac* Pro models), is that they won't be able to drive external displays at 5k - Right?

I am quite sure that 5K 30Hz is OK. At least I can do that with my old Mac Pro.

So, I think the real problem is 5k 60Hz.
