Guys I bought this Eizo monitor back in 2015 and its been a great monitor (still is). I have just bought a new Mac Studio Max (Base model) and want to ask the gang if its time to update my monitor as well to a new 2022 model.
Screenshot 2022-05-16 at 05.48.10.png

I used to do a lot of printing at home but since retiring I mainly use my computer for editing photos in Photoshop and adding them to my website or just surfing the web............I still have my printer but rarely use it now for any serious printing

So just wondering if I should get a new shiny monitor to go with my new shiny Mac Studio
Thanks in advance

Neil

The Apple Studio 27" Display for example would be night and day better in terms of sharpness, because it has 4 times as many pixels in the same area, compared to that CG277.

Whether that's worth spending additional coin on is debatable though.

Ive been on youtube all day. I'm seriously thinking of getting the Benq SW321C monitor........its supposedly the number 1 monitor for photographers!!

Hi Neil,

Got a good tube video for you!

18 minutes onwards may be particularly interesting for you :)
Be a shame to not use your printer anymore etc.

Congratulations with your BenQ monitor. I'll possibly go from 5k iMac to Eizo CG2700S + Mac Studio Max later this year. Yes, a "mere" 2560x1440 display (native).

But it then, I could also keep my 27" iMac...and use that as my computer. Buy an Eizo 27" (1440p) and work with dual monitors. Never did that though. So, not sure yet

I don’t know how old your iMac is but I can tell you the base model Mac Studio is super fast. I also love my new Benq monitor.

My iMac is from 2019 (full specked). It’s fast. Probably not as fast as a Mac Studio. For photo editing a BenQ seems nice indeed, but for this an Eizo seems to perform “better” if I can believe al reports/reviews/etc. Also 4k doesn’t seem to be ideal for a 27” screen (perfect for 32”).
