Ever since upgrading to MacOS sierra a few days go, i've been unable to wake my MacBook up from sleep. The keyboard is lit, indicating that the computer detects that the screen lid has been raised in an effort to wake up the computer, but nothing happens.

I have to turn off the computer, then turn it back on.

Anyone else have this issue?

Same issue here. 2013 MBP. My keyboard won't turn on, so you have that :) But, I also have to hold down the power button to turn it off and then turn it back on. Happens every time it goes to sleep.

Happening on my 2012 iMac too. I disabled sleep and it fixed it for several days. This morning I had to push the space bar for 15 seconds before it woke up.

After resetting the SMC on my MacBook (shift-control-option-power button while computer is off), the issue seems to have been resolved. The screen now wakes after i raise the screen/lid from a closed position.

Problem is, auto unlock with apple watch is not working when opening my MacBook from a closed position. It does, however, work when i log off while using the computer (never closing it).

Thanks for the info!
