For me is like some pages have the "vsync" turned off... for example this: http://www.apple.com/imac-with-retina/
works better in my mothers 2010 macbook air than in my RMP

Wow, that page is choppy as **** on safari on my 2015 13" rMBP with El Capitan.

Just tested on my 13" rMBP and initially getting around 40 FPS but after the first scroll it is around 55 FPS. This is through Safari 9.0 El Capitan, much smoother than on my 2009 13" MBP.

Hmm, the site is butter smooth on my late 2013 13" rMBP on Safari 9 and El Capitan.

Yeah same here, IMO 40 FPS is far from laggy (very smooth intact) but it's just the FPS I'm reading from istatmenus. But generally it's amazing to see smooth website after 6 years using my 2009.

Just to chime in here... Yosemite on my Mum's 2015 (2.9GHZ I5) 13 inch Retina Pro and brother's 2014 Retina Macbook Pro is laggy and jerky at times... I don't get that sort of thing on my Mid 2012 Classic Macbook Pro, however apparently El Capitan fixes most of the issues. Haven't yet installed it on either of their machines yet, waiting for 10.11.1 or 10.11.2 just to be on the safe side.

I've used a lot of Retina Macbook Pros throughout the years, be it performing maintiance/upgrades on client's computers or for friends/family or fiddling around at the Apple store and I've always, always, always been annoyed by the lag/jitter that not everyone perceived. Put simply, I've probably used 30 or so Retina MacBooks (mainly 13 inches), 2012/2013/2014/2015 models and I've seen it on every single one, if I use it for longer than about 15 minutes.

I find the same thing with the iPad Air 1 and iPad Mini 2. I've used heaps of them and under iOS 8, jittering has annoyed me on every single one of them, including the Apple store ones.

I'm very inclined to think that some don't notice the jitter/lag and some do.

From my point of view Apple has a serious problem with driving retina displays. I have 2 MacBooks, both Late 2013 models: one is 15", the other 13". Both of them have UI lag problems. Based on the sheer amount of people that viewed and replied to this topic it seems to me that this is a general problem, far bigger than the "StainGate" one. Having enough of the UI lag and trackpad freezes and all the problem associated with such an expensive machine, I've initiated a petition that you can check over here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/macbook-pro-ui-lag-laggate

Once I restart the laptop it runs fine without any lag at all, but 2 days after that it runs like a piece of junk with 16GB of Ram, an i7 Quad Core CPU and Intel Iris Pro with 1.5 GB of video memory. Screw Apple!

same here

I have the same problem right after a fresh reboot. After an hour or so having the monitor attached (Apple Cinema 20" display from 2007) the choppyness is gone...

So retina MacBook Pro users, do you still suffer from general choppiness/UI lag with El-Capitan?I heard it fixed a lot of those issues.

Is there a difference between Intel Integrated Graphics and Intel Iris Graphics 6100 Sir?
The Iris Pro on the 15" is the 5200 from Haswell with 40 EUs and 128 MB of eDRAM. The Iris 6100 is the 6100 from Broadwell with 48 EUs. While theoretically the 6100 should be faster with the extra 8 EUs, the 5200 is actually faster due to the 128 MB of eDRAM which alleviate any bandwidth bottleneck as shown with benchmarks and real life usage.
