Hi everyone.
I have been a bit active here because of a school which has sadly gone out of operation due to the latest covid19.
Anyways, they have a few apple devices and I was wondering:

how hard it is to replace a motherboard on a 2015 13 Macbook Air?

I am talking about swapping one faulty mobo with a working one.

I saw a YT vid and I am having a hard time assessing how hard it is.

Any advice would be great!

thx so much

PS - video I watched:

That looks easier than upgrading the RAM on my 2018 Mac mini!... As the poster above said go slowly and get the right tools. You won't be able to do this with a screwdriver kit from Walmart. Go step by step and pause to make sure you did each one right. Better to spend 45 minutes doing it right than 20 doing it wrong then have to do it again.

Anytime you want to replace anything in the Air go to iFixit.com and take a look at their repair guides. These guides are very informational and list all the recommended tools you will need to service your laptop. I use them any time I work on any of my MacBooks (Air and Pro). Here is the link for your 2015 13 inch MacBook Air.

I'm guessing you have already done your logic board replacement but in the future go here. You can also get replacement parts thru this web site if you're not sure what to get off of eBay. I have rebuilt two 11 inch MacBook Airs and three 13 inch MacBook Airs.
