When I right click on my HOME/User folder as a whole it tells me I'm using 190GB of space. HOWEVER when I click on the individual folders within the home folder it in NO WAY adds up to 190GB - it's more like 70-75GB. (Those individual folders within my home are the basic, photos, music, movies, applications, etc)

What's up with that? Now, I will say a while back I tried uploading some stuff via iCloud, but I have since turned that off and use Dropbox as one of my back-up solutions instead of iCloud. The icloud uploads were SO SLOW. So do y'all think maybe there is some mystery space iCloud is still taking up? And I'm doubling up on my documents folder between iCloud and dropbox? I just can't think of anything else that would cause me to use up so much space.

I hope all this makes sense. Thank you!

The library folder is by default invisible, and will be a large chunk of the space usage. Hold option when clicking the 'Go' menu in finder to get to it easiest.

That's right! I forgot about the LIBRARY folder - anyway, I can get to it?

THANK YOU! Yeah I missed that - simply read your reply via my email not the actual thread! HA
[doublepost=1532883975][/doublepost]Well I found the culprit! I've got the Adobe Creative Suite as I'm a full-time editor... I thought I pointed most of my media render files to my external HD where my RAW media stays. However, it looks like some HUGE Cache files are sitting in my Home folder

LIBRARY—> Caches —> Adobe—> Lightroom---> Video—> Media Cache Files —> 60GB’s!!!!

Library —> Application Support —> Adobe —> Common —> Media Cache Files = 24.5GB’s

So it looks like I'll need to go into Premiere and set up new destinations.

I'm trying to make this 256 SSD work, which once I move these files I'll be good to go on my SSD. Just trying to avoid a $350 upgrade as I don't want to invest anymore $$ into this 2015 MBP
