2016 15" MBP - Splotchy, Uneven Backlight - Normal Behavior?

Not sure how long this has been occurring but I noticed today that my MBP has a terribly uneven, splotchy, ugly looking backlight pattern to it now. Very noticeable when displaying a uniform color as shown below. If I didn't know any better I'd think some sort of demon had infected my computer. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

That’s not normal. Can‘t tell exactly what it is, but it may be some burn-in.

Could also be the screen delaminating itself from the cover glass? Don’t know if that’s possible or common however.
