Wanted to get people's thoughts on this.
Thinking about upgrading my:
- 2016 15" MBP 2.9ghz(4core) 512gb 16gb 460 to the
- 2018 15" MBP 2.6ghz(6core) 512gb 16gb 560X

Here is what I do:
- Forex/Stock/Options trading on 4k60 Tv (used as my monitor)
- Final cut pro mainly in 1080p60 or 4k30
- Logic Pro (learning for fun)
- Engineering software (Cad, Solidworks) on windows through bootcamp
- Gaming in bootcamp (AAA titles in 1080p mainly)
- Content Browsing (15+ tabs across virtual desktops etc)

I don't think I will need the bump in CPU or ram, as the work I do now works for my needs. Transcoding times for video in FCPX at 4K will decrease, but not a big deal for me.

My main thoughts are the GPU for gaming. I just played Rise of the Tomb Raider (awesome game by the way). It ran great for me at 1080p on high (through HDMI to a TV with wired xbox 360 controller)

I know that Macbooks are not meant for "gaming", however this is the BEST all in one device for me to do everything. I've had a dell XPS 15 and Surface Pro 4 and they do not come close to this.. so please don't recommend me to try those or any windows laptop lol.

My question is: is the 560X significantly more powerful than the 460? (worth the 500$ish upgrade. I can get a good value back on my MacBook, as I'm currently in a country where Macbooks sell at a premium, and can get a new one from the States when I'm there next.

Thoughts?
