2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

I assume that if we cancel now, as the option is there , it takes another x amount of days to get out money back....not bad way for apple to get some interest on those payments . While they hold my £3K an update of some sort would be a nice , they don't even tell you they have taken the money.

I'll only get annoyed if I can pick one up this week retail .....apple online pre-orders used to be great, now i generally don't bother cause it's quicker for me to pick up a product onstore, as I did with iPhone 7.

Loving this thread! It's only me excited about new macbook pros :D and being ridiculously impatient hehe My window is 6-12 December so this thread keeps my patience occupied during the wait knowing that I will not have an update probably until the end of November. Keep it coming people!
 
Hmm. Looks like flight UPS 1326 from Louisville to Orlando has been delayed a half an hour or so. FlightAware link.

It's 38°F/3°C with clear skies in Louisville, so it doesn't appear weather is the delay. Hopefully this isn't a big enough delay to postpone my delivery today.

If I was buying a stock model I would probably have waited too, but I honestly think this is crazy now. As I've said before, I'm not asking for it to be here this second, they still have a window to work with, but just any update would be nice, lots of people have speculated on why it hasn't moved to PFS yet but even now if it was shipping from Europe, it should still be PFS now, and it seems to be confirmed that at least BTO orders are coming from China, so I'm just concerned really. Lack of communication especially annoys me. If I did that in my job, I would not last very long.

The manager at my local Apple Store in Australia said that they have to get in early in the morning on the 17th to set up the store for new devices. Probs for new MacBook Pro
 
Since I'm not in the front row now although I ordered right after the keynote, I'm thinking about cancelling my 13" and convincing some student friend to buy a 15" for the same price then through the edu store. Doesn't matter now if I wait another week or another 4.

Infos CS gave me:
CC was charged yesterday.
MBP will be shipped today or tomorrow from Asia. Delivers probably early next week BUT NOT AFTER 23rd. Apple is apparently "guaranteeing" that.
BTO are shipped from Asia, he could see that.
SOME stock models will be shipped from the Netherlands.
Apple is treating the continents differently, because they are different "markets"

For what it's worth...

Thanks for the info, but I still can't help but to feel disappointed. Worst apple product launch so far (at least compared to the ones I experienced).
 
Anyone from France here who didn't get charged yet ?

I am starting to worry. I ordered 10 minutes after the keynote ended and my delivery status is 24th of November to the 1st of December.

I'm in the same boat. There's a flight out in 3 hours, presumably we'll be on that. When it says Export Scan, it seems to indicate you are on the next flight out. I'm going on 48 hours stuck in Shanghai at this point.
