so two laptop, ordered the same time, same everything, same address, specs etc..

Ones in Korea and ones in Japan...

Well, my love affair didn't last long...

After a day of web browsing and light use, I decided to throw a little Adobe Premiere project together... threw a few processor heavy effects on a couple of clips and rendered some finals... worked just fine.

Once I pulled a clip up in the Source pane and had some video in the project pane as well, the screen went into red checkerboard madness and the computer totally froze.

I rebooted and now noticed that you can still see the checkerboard pattern flicker on my desktop. It disappears when I move my mouse or start typing and then comes back.

To add insult to injury, after I was on hold for 20 minutes, I was transferred to a disconnected number.

I am so friggin' pissed right now.

UGH.

Is there someone who can help me figure out the flight My MacBook is on?

I'm not an expert at Flightware...but for my shipment...I typed in UPS flights from Osaka, Japan and got the below link. If you scroll down it shows the flights.

https://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS

Viewed tracking by Airline/Operators using UPS (to the right side of screen)...and got the below. For departure of Osaka Int'l airport code is KIX/RJBB to Anchorage, Alaska code is PANX the UPS flight number is UPS81. Then I clicked on the UPS81 flight and the actual departure time matched the departure time that was listed on the UPS tracking site for my package.

http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS?;offset=20;order=ident;sort=ASC

By the way...I use Deliveries (IOS App) to track packages. I like the interface. The different carriers are color coded...and the tracking info has always been spot on for me. Deliveries has an iphone/iPad app and a Mac app...

Good luck...

pasipple: Thank you for your wonderful explanation, but i live in europe, So i suppose this is not THE same as in usa?

My order is:
Shipped (Friday)
In transit to customer – shipment on schedule (Saturday)
Shipment dispatched (Sunday - today)

If I check the flights from Shanghai > Amsterdam, today there is only 1 and it landed this morning.
Is it correct to state that this was the plane my MacBook was on?

Right. The MacBook Pros are flying from China to Amsterdam, Netherlands and there it will be given over to DHL Express :)

Hello, how do you track the CARGO flights ( especially DHL shippings from Shanghai to Amsterdam ?)

I can live without the answer ;):)...

And it was too good to be true...

My order is preparing for dispatch and hasn't been shipped yet and apple just call me to ask me to send the package back when I get it! Looool
They made a mistake in the keyboard layout and they just found out when It was being readied for shippement!
As it's too late to cancel the order I need to get it first and send it back.
Wow Apple!

Oh my gosh unlucky that sucks! And even more annoying you having to wait to get the wrong one to send it back, that's really unlucky, sorry to hear that.

Does anyone know when the next flight containing MacBook pro's leaves Shanghai?
I'm guessing I've missed the one that landed today as I'm still P4S but are there any other flights today at all or do they not fly on Sundays? At least Shanghai is 8 hours ahead so hoping if it's on a flight tomorrow it'll ship tonight (UK time).

I have been told they don't ship anything out of Shanghai over the weekend. I need to get my faulty MacBook and send it back asap for them to prepare my replacement. My order went P4S on friday and she said that it will shipp tomorrow.

Just took the plunge. Upgrading my old MacBook Pro early 2009 with a Core2Duo processor to the 2016 2.7Ghz i7 with 512GB of SSD and the Radeon 460. Wish me good luck on having not a defective Graphics Card!

Quick note- should I wait to get AppleCare on it? I was thinking about ordering from B&H if I do, too.

They shipped mine out last night

I'm guessing next flights are tomorrow so I'll expect a shipping update maybe in the early hours of tomorrow morning (UK time)

Why does it take 10 days to ship it to me? Is Apple providing a late delivery date just to stay on the safe side in case the shipment gets delayed for whatever reason?

if you have the funds to buy it now, its just easier and have it auto-enrolled.

Good Luck DavyCo....

In my case, yes going to the States, so everything comes through Anchorage then Louisville then on to other distribution points depending on your home State. You need that initial shipping notice from Apple with the carrier info and departing flight. Once you have that, it's fairly predictable on the arrivals and the departures. Especially if you've tracked any previous Apple shipments.

Back to my case, the same flight that went from Osaka to Ankorage then went on to Louisville. Once in Anchorage my delivery date was revised from a Thursday delivery to a Wednesday! Hope it holds on that! I've seen package get bumped up a day then bumped back. But it getting close...

Enjoy you Macbook Pro...

I too am migrating from a late 2009 Macbook Pro! So, it's going to be night and day. Weight, screen resolution, speed...all will be great improvements. I'm especially looking forward to a lighter model. This old model weighs a ton!

I bought my Apple Care through Adorama a couple of weeks ago. Saved a lot of money as it was $347.99 with no tax. My local tax is nearly 10% so if I had puchased it from Apple if would have been nearly $440. So, just stating the obvious...shop around. Enjoy your new Macbook Pro!

Yes, probably, seems to be pretty standard Apple. Although the problem is sometimes it does take that long to arrive so there unfortunately isn't a way of knowing if it'll be faster yet..

15" TB-MBP
Base + 512GB + 460M
Ordered on 12/1, estimated 01/07~01/12

Received 2nd email shipped for delivery estimated arrival 12/23. Had one email stated 12/28 would arrive but this is a pleasant surprise to see this arrive before xmas considering I just ordered in the beginning of the month.

Debating if I should route it to my local Apple store instead if it arrives before 12/23 i will be at work.

Meh. I really hope that I will get it before the estimated delivery date.. Someone had the same delivery date (Dec 21-Jan 3) and theirs has been shipped on Friday with a estimated delivery date of Dec 22 so I guess it's possible that i'll get it before Dec 27 but there's no way that I get it on Dec 21.
