With such tight tolerances on the rMB, anything between the KB and display is asking for trouble. All being equal, and the rMB assembled correctly the keys, trackpad and display will never come into physical contact, equally the gap is very small, likely as little as 1/32"

Q-6

What about when you put the laptop in a bag with some other things in it? Isn't it the case that sometimes the laptop's screen is pressed onto the keyboard?

Possibly, equally the rMB is pretty rigid, when I travel, I have a lot of other gear in the bag, up to and including a second notebook. rMB KB definitely picks up the oil from the fingers more than my previous Mac`s all the same no marking of the display panel.

The seal on my rMB is definitely far more stiff than on my 13" & 15" rMBP`s so I imagine it would take more force to compress it. I just think it is, what it is an assembly issue at manufacture. Frankly it happens with all mass produced items and Apple is clearly not immune.

At first I was a little apprehensive of the rMB, however I now just treat it like any other Mac I have owned, after 12 month of use it`s been fine, actually it`s turned out to be one of the best Mac`s I have used, although a little more travel and or improved dampening in the KB wouldn't hurt

Q-6.

Should I worry about this upon getting the MacBook 2016?

I am actually considering getting the PowerSupport Anti-Glare film, it is not as grainy compared to other brands...

After three times in a row; I worry. Nonetheless, others have had more luck so might as well try it. If you order online you should have enough time to return it (two weeks period, I believe).

Well, my Rmbp, the AR came off two screens so far and I am on the third. Apple is aware of this defect, and they have happily changed it twice for me, but i hope it doesn't happen again
