Hey, I’m very new to Mac so I apologize if the answer is rather obvious. I’m deciding between a basically flawless 2016 MBP 15” 2.7/16/512 and 2018 MBP 13” 2.3/8/256. The 15” is about $100 cheaper, size isn’t important to me, it’s mainly about the best value for a similar price.

All thoughts are welcome.

Do you have interest in building an eGPU? If you do, will you run it in windows?

If the answer to either is yes. the 13" may be the better deal, but if it were me I would buy the 15".

More screen real estate, dGPU, i7 that's just as fast as the i5 in the 13. More ram and double the SSD space, The SSD space alone would be a deal breaker on the 13 for me.

I’d have to say no to both questions. I was just unsure about the cpu differences and other improvements that the 2018 may have. I was told the cpu is much improved on the 2018, but I was also told there isn’t much of a difference. I figured I would ask those who are well informed. It seems like the 15” is the better buy.
